My Favorite Read of May 2026: The One and Only Bob by Katherine Applegate

My Thoughts:

The One and Only Ivan is one of my favorite books we read in school. Bob is my favorite character, so I loved learning more about his story. Katherine Applegate presents sad situations in a way that children can absorb the lesson without being traumatized. Bob’s humorous narrative and opinions about humans makes the story entertaining even when the animals face very dangerous situations, like a tornado.
