Most Anticipated Book Releases: November 2025

I’m happy to see a lot of book by favorite authors and retellings coming out in November.

Raised by ruggedly independent, scientifically minded parents โ€“ entomologist father, dietician mother โ€“ Atwood spent most of each year in the wild forest of northern Quebec. This childhood was unfettered and nomadic, sometimes isolated (on her eighth birthday: ‘It sounds forlorn. It was forlorn. It gets more forlorn.โ€™), but also thrilling and beautiful.

From this unconventional start, Atwood unfolds the story of her life, linking seminal moments to the books that have shaped our literary landscape, from the cruel year that spawned Catโ€™s Eye to the Orwellian 1980s Berlin where she wrote The Handmaidโ€™s Tale. In pages bursting with bohemian gatherings, her magical life with the wildly charismatic writer Graeme Gibson and major political turning points, we meet poets, bears, Hollywood actors and larger-than-life characters straight from the pages of an Atwood novel.

As we travel with her along the course of her life, more and more is revealed about her writing, the connections between real life and art โ€“ and the workings of one of our greatest imaginations.

Luca Matius has one purposeโ€”to carry on the family name, maintaining its presence in the Forum once his powerful and cruel uncle dies. But his noviceship with the city’s Philosopher places him in the middle of a catastrophe that will alter the destiny of his people.

Maris Casoeria was raised amidst the strategic maneuvers of the Citadel’s inner workings, and she knows what her future holdsโ€”a lifetime of service to a corrupt city. But her years of serving as a novice to the last Priestess who possesses the stolen magic of the Old War has made her envision a different kind of future for the city. When she meets Luca, a fated chain of events is set into motion that will divinely entangle their lives.

As a secret comes to light and throws the city into chaos, Luca and Maris hatch a plot to create a calculated alliance that could tip the scales of power. But when an execution forces Luca to become the symbol of rebellion, he and Maris are thrown onto opposite sides of a holy war. As their fates diverge, they learn they are at the center of a story the gods are writing. And even if they can find their way back to each other, there may be nothing left.

Mallory Fontaine is a fraud. Though she comes from a long line of witches, the only magic she possesses is the ability to see ghosts, which is rarely as useful as one would think. She and her sister have maintained the family business, eking out a paltry living by selling bogus spells to gullible buyers and conducting tours of the infamous mansion where the first of the Saphir murders took place.

Mallory is a self-proclaimed expert on Count Bastien Saphirโ€”otherwise known as Monsieur Le Bleuโ€”who brutally killed three of his wives more than a century ago. But she never expected to meet Bastien’s great-great grandson and heir to the Saphir estate. Armand is handsome, wealthy, and convinced that the Fontaine Sisters are as talented as they claim. The perfect mark. When he offers Mallory a large sum of money to rid his ancestral home of Le Bleu’s ghost, she canโ€™t resist. A paid vacation at Armandโ€™s country manor? Itโ€™s practically a dream come true, never mind the ghosts of murdered wives and the monsters that are as common as household pests.

But when murder again comes to the House Saphir, Mallory finds herself at the center of the investigationโ€”and she is almost certain the killer is mortal. If she has any hope of cashing in on the payment she was promised, sheโ€™ll have to solve the murder and banish the ghost, all while upholding the illusion of witchcraft.

But that all sounds relatively easy compared to her biggest learning to trust her heart. Especially when the person her heart wants the most might be a murderer himself.

In honor of her 250th birthday, eight authors have come together with wildly imaginative reboots of the lives of several of Jane Austenโ€™s minor characters. Written with plenty of love and wit, these clever stories star everyone fromย Pride and Prejudiceโ€™s snobbish Caroline Bingley to the modern descendant ofย Sense and Sensibilityโ€™s Eliza Williams and much more. Blurring genres and taking us across the oceans,ย Ladies in Waitingย is a heartfelt celebration of Jane Austen and her timeless masterpieces.

Gabriela Rose, recovery agent extraordinaire, can find just about anything. Too bad she canโ€™t seem to lose her gorgeous-but-infuriating ex-husband Rafer Jones. And now he needs her help. His cousin, Harley, is in troubleโ€ฆbig trouble.

As the president of a too-big-to-fail bank, he invested an astronomical amount of money in insuring some of the worldโ€™s most priceless artifacts at the urging of his board. It seemed like a low-risk, high-reward business move, so he jumped in with both feet. But recently, these insured pieces started going missing and worse, thereโ€™s no paper trail of Harley being directed to make these risky investments. Unless the artwork can be recovered soon, it looks like Harley is going to be heading to jail as the fall guy for an ingenious crime.

Gabriela knows what she must travel around the world with Rafer to find the missing works of art, keep Harley out of jail, and save both his skin and his bank. Along the way, sheโ€™ll encounter corruption, threats, murder, mysterious dark forces behind a global conspiracy to destroy the worldโ€™s wealth, and a nefarious villain who will stop at nothing to bring the world to the brink of ruin.

Izzy Chen is dreading her familyโ€™s annual Chinese New Year celebration, where they all come together at a Michelin-starred restaurant to flaunt their status and successes in hopes to one up each other. So when her seventy-three-year-old glamorous and formidable grandmother walks in with a stunning woman on her arm and kisses her in front of everyone, it shakes Izzy to her core. Sheโ€™d always considered herself the black sheep of the family for harboring similar feelings to the ones her Nainai just displayed.

Seeing herself in her teenage granddaughter’s struggles with identity and acceptance, Magnolia Chen tells Izzy her own story, of how as a teen she was sent by her Indo-Chinese parents from Jakarta to Los Angeles for her education and fell in love with someone completely forbidden to her by both culture and gender normsโ€”Ellery, an American college student who became Magnolia’s best friend and the love of her life. Stretching across decades and continents, Magnolia’s star-crossed love story reveals how life can take unexpected turns but ultimately lead you to exactly who you’re meant to be.

Stuck in a Production Assistant job and living at home with her parents after a painful breakup, thirty-one-year-old Chloe Fairway isnโ€™t where she wants to be in life. The last thing she needs is to face the people who once voted her “most likely to succeed” at her upcoming ten-year college reunion. And she definitely doesnโ€™t want to see her former best friend, Sean Adler, who is now a hotshot film director living the life Chloe dreamed of. Desperate to make a splashโ€”and to save face in front of the man who might be the one that got awayโ€”she turns to a mysterious dating service.

Enter Rob, her handsome, well-read, and charming match, the perfect plus-one to take to her reunion. The more she gets to know him, the more perfect he appears to be. Could it be that this dating service knows her better than she knows herself? And can she overlook the one big catch? As Chloe reconnects with old friends, she begins to question everything she thought she wanted. Maybe, just maybe, revisiting the past is exactly what she needs to move forward.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that when there is a hot person, there is also someone with a crush on them.

Mia Yoon has a plan for everything. Get a full ride to her dream film school in Los Angeles, behind her momโ€™s back, and escape her middle-of-nowhere hometownโ€”check. Produce her own dating show starring other people and their crushesโ€”check. But everything goes off the rails when she has to enlist the help of her own secret crush, Noah Cho, a boy sheโ€™d rather hate.

Despite being a campus celebrity voted โ€œmost eligible student bachelor,โ€ Noah canโ€™t remember the last time he was in a relationship. And heโ€™s perfectly content with that, thank you very much, especially since just the word feelings makes him uncomfortable. But he canโ€™t stop staring at Mia, who keeps glaring at him in class. And when she asks him to be on her dating showโ€”as one of the contestantsโ€”he canโ€™t say no.

As Noah goes on more and more romantic dates on The Cuffing Game and Mia watches from behind the camera, something feels off. With the showrunner and contestant slowly falling for one another, can the show still go on?
