I love a good fairy tale retelling. “Once Upon a Time” is a stand-alone book series by multiple authors. This one is a retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk with elements of Robin Hood. It’s really aimed more at the YA audience, as the main characters are 16. However, the content is appropriate for younger readers. Even though the books in this series have romance, they are very wholesome. They also feature strong female characters.
