Middle Grade March Mini-book review: Echo by Pam Munez Ryan

Echo has been on my shelf for years. I’m so glad I finally got around to reading it. I used it for the prompt “author with three names”. It tells the story of three kids in different parts of the world during the 1930s who eventually connect through music. I like that it doesn’t shy away from the realities of WWII but handles them in a manner that is developmentally appropriate for middle-grade readers. Adults can appreciate it as much as young readers.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
