I’ve seen many posts suggesting that parents wrap book
s to put under the tree and open one each night. So, I thought I’d share some suggestions. I’m starting with six of my favorite older picture books to read around this time of year. Then six newer ones I want to add to my library.
The Night Before Christmas is a timeless classic.
The Mitten is a beautifully illustrated picture book about forest animals who find a lost mitten.
How Santa Got His Job is a funny story kids will love about the many jobs that didn’t work out for Santa before he found his perfect fit.
Olive the Other Reindeer is a funny story that embraces being different.
The Polar Express is even better to read as an adult.
Tacky the Penguin is a fun penguin tale teaching kids it’s okay to be different.
